Okay, the gallery is finally uploaded...
Now, to describe the holiday.
Maria, Anastasia, Yannis and I went off on the 28th, to a small town called Eigio. There, we searched for a very long time for a single hotel, ironically, we passed one on the way in.
Though I didn't take enough photos of the place, it was as if the entire place was stuck at the wrong end of the 80's.

At least the view wasn't all bad...

We met an old family friend of Maria and Anastasia, and did the Greek thing, go out to have a coffee (note that the time was now around 11:30pm). It wasn't surprising that nearly all of us got hot chocolate, so that we'd have a good night's sleep. Chatting to them was good, they both spoke English, and their kid let me play on his GBA, making me damn addicted again to those portable things...
Finally, we started up on our journey up to Mount Doom... erm, I meant Kalavrita (Καλάβριτα). Naturally, I said that due to the miniscule roads they have at the edge of the cliff, however, Yannis drove slow, and we were all happy.
The snow seemed to be a more permanent feature here, as you can see:

However, that didn't stop us, and we went into our gorgeous villa-esque hotel, despite the odd bird flu case next door...

We had a lot of fun that day, mostly walking about the small town (with the hundreds of tourists milling). However, as we stayed Sunday night too, everyone had buggered off by Monday.

As it was dead quiet, it gave us the chance to go up to the ski slope (despite not actually skiing ourselves). The photos don't really do the place justice, I loved it there, the feeling of snow was like heaven to me, and I really wanted to stay a lot longer just so I could ski.

Finally, we went back, happy but sad, as it was our final night, so we decided to go to a bar, which we saw the night before, and I loved it there. There was a roaring fire, IKEA furniture everywhere (giving me the feeling of being at home) and, rather uniquely, a tree growing out of the centre. It was a lovely place, and I really want to go back there. I think it was called the Party Club or Bar...

In summary, I'm going back there, to ski, and to stay a lot longer. I really loved it there and hope to visit it again in the future. We were all very happy by the end, and felt sad at leaving:

The photo gallery can be found here. Feel free to look.
